St-Félicien is a small town in northern Québec near Lac St-Jean (Lake St-Jean). Not a lot of residents speak English. The camp is called
Camping St-Félicien This camp provides sites for tents, trailers, and they have cabins. Camping St-Félicien does not have a beach by the lake even though it is near Lac St-Jean (The town of St-Félicien is right by the river that runs along from the lake. This camp has a huge swimming pool with water slides. Campers can go play basketball, baseball, tennis, volleyball and soccer, it has each own field for certain sports they can play. The interesting game that many campers love to play is Pétanque; of course, most Americans don't know what that game is.
Pétanque The site is only in French is balls game that you to throw hollow metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball.
Overall, This camp is pretty small and simple but many tourists would like to camp there because one of the largest zoos and the most visited zoo in the province of Québec is located right next to it that we could walk there!
This is our first destination and we stayed in the town of St-Félicien for two days with a tent. It was 10°C (50°F) outside even it was about 25°C (82°F) in Rochester, NY - I didn't realized how cold it was! Of course not, we didn't go for swimming at this kind of temperature. It was 12 hours of the trip in car up to the farthest north of Canada we have been travelled to. Those photos were taken by Matt with his professional camera.
