Île d'Orléans (Island of Orléans) is an island right near Québec city, where it lies in the river, Rivère St-Laurent. Residents of the island do many farming business for years. Strawberries are the number one that they grow on this island. There are other fresh produces that the farmers are selling them everyday, every year. Travelling around the island usually takes you an hour. The island has very few roads but the traffics aren't heavy and busy. There are roads around the island as well as some roads lie across the island so the drivers won't have to spend their extra gas mileage for going half way around to the other side. There are only ONE gas station and one traffic light on this island! The image shown on on the right allows tourists to look over most part of the island and even the beautiful city of Québec and the waterfall. You can go across the bridge to the island from the Autoroute 440.Île d'Orléans

I drove across the bridge and we just had a joyride around the island. Not the only thing such as farms we saw, there were a lot of churches around the island! Well, many Québecers are Catholics and historically, they practised their religion for years, so there were so many churches. Those photos were taken by Sam.
